How To Focus the Polar Scope Type A
Focusing the polar scope is separated in 2 steps:
- Focusing the reticle - Simply look through the finderscope and rotate the eyepiece ring clockwise or counterclockwise until the reticle is sharp. Note that it's important to focus your eye on an imaginary distant object during the adjustment. This will ensure that the reticle looks sharp when your eye is relaxed;
- Focusing the stars - After step one, look through the finderscope and rotate object barrel until the stars are sharp. To maximize the freedom of adjustment, one can rotate the locking ring all the way to the object scope side.
It's optional to lock the object barrel by rotating the locking ring all the way to the eyepiece side. Be careful to keep the object barrel stationary to the scope body in this process and only rotate the locking ring.
