Difference between MOVE SHOOT MOVE NOMAD and MSM Rotator:

Improved attachment points. The previous manufacturing tolerances were fine for Astro-landscape but deep-sky needs a firmer foundation.

The MSM Rotator, due to its design, required specific weight positioning to keep the ball head secure; this has been completely eliminated.

The laser now screws into the tracker eliminating any chance of wobble.

The industry standard quick-release plate on the bottom is secured in 2 places preventing any twisting of the tracker on its mount.

Improved load capacity.

The hardware has been built to withstand twice the amount of torque as the MSM Rotator.

Where the MSM Rotator was only designed for wide-angle Astro-landscape, the MOVE SHOOT MOVE NOMAD has been designed with wide-field deep-sky use in mind.

The MOVE SHOOT MOVE NOMAD is focused on one function, star tracking. (MOVE SHOOT MOVE NOMAD can be used to take timelapse of the night sky, but it does not have the so called Move Shoot Move timelapse mode of the previous Rotator)

What's great about the Nomad? It is easy to use, needing only minimal instructions and previous knowledge (for example it helps substantially to know how to find Polaris). Its price, making the Nomad accessible to a large pool of enthusiastic astrophotographers. Its size and weight, which makes it easy to carry to remote locations. I am completely satisfied by my Nomad.
I got the Nomad rotator to replace the MSM rotator because my Sony A7RV + the heavy Sigma 14MM 1.8 lens was just too much weight for it, and it wobbled. No such problems with the Nomad, rock solid!

Super easy to use. Ready for use within seconds. I now take it with me everywhere. I'm already looking forward to the next dark nights.
So far so good, a power switch is a bit flimsy though and does not correspond with the device’s overall high-quality impression. Would be also great if there was a bolt hole in arca swiss plate to connect the device directly with v/z plates with no need for external arca swiss adapters adapters - it would eliminate the need for balkhead/wedge.

I like the excellent quality (build and materials).
It is super easy to setup and operate, even as this is my first ever tracker that I use.
Love that it comes with a protective soft case.
Tracks very well. Sometimes challenging to get the ball heads organized to get your camera pointed in the right direction. A secret to the success is to be absolutely sure your tripod is dead on level.

Recently buyed one of these.
The setting is really easy and results were wonderful. Could easily take 3min exposures on my 14mm without any trails. Did 60 sec exposures on my 75 mm aswell but just for the test. No trail aswell !
These results were obtained after calibration of the laser in order to point my celestial pole with more accuracy.
The customer service was really nice, and handled really well the issues in the loss of the first shipment.
