All three axes are sloppy

Got the gear head last week. Was hoping to use it place of a wedge. But all three axes on this gear head have play in them. Doesn’t seem to be anyway to lock them down to get the slop out. So no way I’m using this gear head for any astro work. Maybe I got a bad unit, the two other reviews have it five stars.
