Finished my first shot using the nomad and what can I sayā¦.best purchase in a long time for my type of photography. Such a handy little toolā¦!
After receiving my MSM Nomad tracker I drove to Goblin Valley Utah to test it out. I had looked at several videos from links on the MSM website so felt pretty prepared. I already had a Really Right Stuff base and Monopod Head so I didnāt buy the Wedge, but did get the Z Bracket. So my setup was a Really Right Stuff Tripod, an RRS rotating base, a RRS Monopod Head, the MSM Nomad, the Alyn Wallace Z Brackt and an astro modified Nikon D810 with the 14-24 f2.8 lens. I found setting up the laser to align the rotator with Polaris as easy as the videos suggested it would be. I made several 2 minute exposures at 24mm and the stars were pinpoints as expected. I found this setup with the Z Bracket more susceptible to shakes than I wanted. After removing the Z bracket and using a ball head instead I was happier with the stability. I really like the Z bracket and it might be fine with a lighter camera lens combination. Next time out Iām going to learn to use the Polar Scope which I also bought. So, to wrap up Iām really happy with my purchase of the MSM Nomad and look forward to a great year of Astro Photography. Lawrence Hass--Parker, CO
The MSM Nomad is a big advance and much easier to use than the old tracker. Great instructional videos make set up easy.
Iāve been using a more traditional tracker from iOptron for quite a while and also use the ZWO AM5 equatorial mount for large telescopes. The MSM nomad is a perfect addition that is *much* faster and simple to set up. It is a perfect match for all my camera-based astrophotography including my R1 and R5 bodies.

I'd say without Richard Tatti YouTube channel, a tracker would still be too daunting for us in the southern hemisphere. Good on him for explaining the quick alignment better than any manufacturers manual.
Delivery has been good enough.
Small and easy to pack away to take it to go, or great to set up at home. Easy to use and consistent results gives this a lot of value for its price.
