I've already owned two other adapters and this one is clearly the best for several reasons:
- All metal , very stable but light at the same time
- Fine tuning of each of the three axis
- Comes with a bag so easy to store and transport with you
- Optional bluetooth shutter for stable images
none of these things are easy to use ... meaning getting the phone camera in the proper place is tricky. that's not the fault of the device: its a 3-D problem and includes distance from the eyepiece. that being said, the MSM phone adapter incorporates proper orthogonal screw adjusters and is very secure and stable. once you get the image, its not going to drift. this is the one device of this type that's worth the money.
I've tried a few other telescope/binocular eyepiece adapters for my phone, including ones I 3d printed myself, and this one is much better than all of them. Solid construction, fits my phone (Pixel 6a) and has precise fine adjustment to get the alignment just right. Would recommend. Plus, it came with a bluetooth shutter trigger that lets me take shots without causing wobble when I touch my phone.
It reach my expectations and help me to achieve the best photos ever made with my movile phone.

I’m a beginner when it comes to birding and even newer to photographing birds. I still have a basic tripod from earlier film photography days, but now I’m trying to update myself by marrying an iPhone, with binoculars and a tripod. Research lead me to an adapter to hold my binoculars onto the tripod and the Move Shoot Move TRIDAPTOR to mate my binoculars to the iPhone. I got my chance to try out my new setup on a new Swan family (complete with 4 cygnets). I’m still working on my technique as a photographer, but the TRIDAPTOR is the centerpiece to putting all this together. I will download pictures as my composition and technique improve. Thanks for a wonderful piece in my new hobby!
I've wasted money buying cheaper adapters...But this one is worth every penny. Thin but solid...exactly what I needed. The only drawback is that if you want it to be ready to use according to your phone's size, it's a bit big to transport...Anyway, I would buy it again for sure.
TRIDAPTOR can be a very useful gadget for lovers of astronomical observations and recording images using a smartphone. What attracts attention is the very high quality of workmanship. different types of screws allow you to orient yourself in the dark. The smartphone is held very securely, but the handle could be improved so that it cannot be positioned off-axis. I think I will use TRIDAPTOR often in various situations. The bag in which you can pack the adapter and put it in your pocket is fantastic.
